INDIANA---The 2014 Alpha Omega Prize for Student Art will go to one of twenty-five students now on display at Indiana Interchurch Center through November 30. "This year’s student theme is the 'Journey to Freedom,' said Gregory Disney-Britton, chairman of the board for the Alpha & Omega Project for Contemporary Religious Arts, "and these students have created 25 works that tell a powerful story of freedom with links to bullying, sexism, poverty, abuse, alcoholism, slavery, and self-actualization." Purchase prize awards totalling $750 will be awarded this month. The first round of $250 will be announced on Saturday, November 8 at Interchurch Center. The second round with $500 in purchase prizes runs from November 8-30, and will be judged by visitors to the gallery. Anyone can vote, but it must be done at the gallery. Indiana Interchurch Center is located at 1100 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
