Public Voting Begins Today for $500 in A&O Student Prizes

Public voting begins today for $500 in student prizes for this year's Alpha Omega Prize student art contest at Indiana Interchurch Center following the 2:00 p.m. annual awards ceremony. Twenty-five students from 11 schools from central Indiana are participating in this year's contest as part of the Spirit & Place Festival including three who will recieve $250 in juried awards today. The program also includes the induction of the 2014 national honorees for artist of year, museum of year, and clergy of year; as well as remarks by Rev. Clarence G. Newsome, PhD, president of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center who will speak on the theme "Faith to Freedom."
This year's program sponsors are AVFraming, Center for Interfaith Cooperation, Conner Prairie Interactive History Museum, The Church Federation of Greater Indianapolis, Indiana Interchurch Center, Spirit & Place Festival, and National Association of Social Workers-Chapter Indiana.
