Arts Council of Indianapolis to Honor Traditional African Religion

INDIANA---Ancestors play an important part in traditional African religion: wedding, births and deaths as well as arts performances. During February, the Arts Council of Indianapolis is honoring that tradition. It begins with an opening ceremony to thank the ancestors; continues with daily celebrations of the influence of African culture on the arts from around the world; and concludes with with African Ancestry DNA testing.
