Arts education fundraising company marks 20th anniversary milestone

INDIANA---Indianapolis-based art education fundraising organizer Art to Remember is marking its 20th anniversary. The company says it has raised more than $6.8 million over the past three years for schools throughout the United States. The company helps schools raise money by allowing parents to purchase products personalized with their children's artwork. It says the money raised through Art to Remember fundraisers "may be the entire budget" for an art teacher's classroom. The original owners, Don and Jane Brackney, sold Art to Remember to fellow central Indiana resident Bill Boncosky. [link]

Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
