NEW YORK---Cue the Second Coming puns. “An Act of God” is returning to Broadway. Sean Hayes, whose lone previous Broadway outing (in “Promises, Promises”) garnered him a Tony nomination, will play the title role in a show that imagines God offering a new version of the Ten Commandments for today’s world. The comedy, a 90-minute near-monologue (God is accompanied by a pair of angels who have some lines) first had a limited run on Broadway last spring and summer, starring Jim Parsons, and was a commercial success.
