Resurrected on Broadway: ‘An Act of God,’ This Time with Sean Hayes

NEW YORK---Cue the Second Coming puns. “An Act of God” is returning to Broadway. Sean Hayes, whose lone previous Broadway outing (in “Promises, Promises”) garnered him a Tony nomination, will play the title role in a show that imagines God offering a new version of the Ten Commandments for today’s world. The comedy, a 90-minute near-monologue (God is accompanied by a pair of angels who have some lines) first had a limited run on Broadway last spring and summer, starring Jim Parsons, and was a commercial success. Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
