Caravan Art Comes to Wyoming to Overcome Religious Misunderstanding

WYOMING---It is certainly no secret that a good deal of religious misunderstanding takes place these days in both America and the state of Wyoming. Most of this misunderstanding comes from the lack of knowledge about each other’s history and traditions. To help overcome this divide, the Episcopal Foundation of the Diocese of Wyoming, in conjunction with an international art group called CARAVAN, is sponsoring a statewide art exhibit titled The Bridge. The Bridge features the contemporary art of 47 Christian, Muslim and Jewish artists from 15 different nations. [link]

It was a maximalist experience for two minimalists who love to collect. We sold off multiple collections, including snow globes, Mary sculptures, paperweights, Disney plates, nutcrackers, 21c penguins, walking canes, and 100 prints and paintings! Most of it was in storage, but plenty was on display. We did it by inviting our community of artists and collectors to an estate sale before opening it to the public. Museum Calls Off Kehinde Wiley Show, Citing Assault Allegations

Bates for The New York Times The Minneapolis Institute of Art announced Thursday that it had decided not to move forward with a planned Kehinde Wiley exhibition, citing recent allegations of sexual misconduct against the artist, which he has denied.
