Azerbaijan artist ‘reveals’ formula of happiness

BAKU, Azerbaijan---An exhibition entitled "Formula of happiness" by famous artist Namig Mammadov opened in the Baku Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition that will run till May 31features graphic works and paintings of the artist. A series of paintings "the Prayer" draws a special attention. Three-dimensional figures on the canvas appear following one another, like the guardian angels, who accompany the artist throughout his life. In his works Namig Mammadov reflects a deep sense of intimacy, although the image does not contain any accurate images. [link]
Namig Mammadov was born in Ganja on December 23, 1957. In 1982 he graduated from Azerbaijan State Art school named after Azim Azimzade and the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 1988. He currently lives and works in Baku.
