INDONESIA -- Lady Gaga has taken to Twitter to express 'disappointment' at having to cancel her Born This Way Ball concert in Indonesia. The singer, who has nearly 25 million followers on Twitter, took to the site to express her disappointment at having to cancel the concert after opposition from Islamic groups. The concert was due to take place in Jakarta on June 3, but police refused to issue the pop star with a performance permit due to intense pressure from campaigners. Over 50,000 tickets had been sold for the Jakarta event. Promoters said they would offer refunds. [link]

It is hard for me to imagine Lady Gaga taking similar action to protest an extremist conservative artist, but maybe I am wrong. What's the worst part of this is the Government's interference due to religious-political pressure.
