SPAIN -- A Spanish artist whose movie sees Jesus Christ being roasted in an oven has become the first person in the country to be accused of violating a law against offending religious feelings. Javier Krahe claims he has been accused of “things he hasn’t done”. The Catholic Legal Association, Centro Juridico Tomas Moro took the artist to court. He was bailed for €192,000 ($241,824). According to the association, the law against offending religious feelings had never before been applied in Spanish legal history. Krahe’s film on “how to cook Jesus Christ” was originally censored at the time of its release in 1978. It aired on television in 2004, broadcasted after an interview with the artist. [link]
