Hindu Activist from Nevada Complains About Play in Minneapolis
ALBANY TRIBUNE
MINNESOTA---Hindus are concerned at the play “Displaced Hindu Gods”, which is having a world premiere at Minneapolis (Minnesota, USA) and is announced to run from October five to 27. Play announcement of this Mixed Blood Theatre production says that it is based on the trinity of Hindu deities- Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva- each displaced into the contemporary Western world. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, pointed out that Brhama-Vishnu-Shiva were highly revered deities in Hinduism and were meant to be worshipped in temples and home shrines and not to be trivialized on theater stages.
