DELHI---Akar Prakar Art Advisory presents "19th Century Swadeshi Art” at the gallery’s New Delhi venue. The exhibition takes you through the time when the Mughal era, famous for its art and architecture, was coming to an end and the French and Portuguese had established their trading outposts during the time of Aurangzeb, the last great Mughal. Some rare oil, litho and oleograph paintings of the pre-Bengal School from 19th century are collected here. At that time, religious and mythological paintings were more popular. The exhibition will be on view from August 28 through October 15, 2017 at Akar Prakar Art Advisory, 1st floor, 29 Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi 110016, India. [More]
